U.S. Appeals Court reverses Class I price-fixing decision

Beleaguered MM&A files for bankruptcy

Montreal, Maine & Atlantic Railway (MM&A), operator of the runaway crude oil train involved in the July 6 derailment and explosion at Lac-Mégantic, Quebec, that killed 47 people, announced on Wednesday, Aug. 7 that it has filed for bankruptcy in the U.S. and Canada.

CSX acquires Eastern Associated Terminal

CSX Corp. announced Tuesday, Aug. 7, the purchase of the Eastern Associated Terminal in Tampa, Fla. from the Ingram Barge Company. The 22-acre phosphate export facility is adjacent to CSX Transportation Inc.’s Rockport terminal on Tampa Bay, and the combined entity will be called Rockport Terminals.
