Philadelphia expects 1,000 for HSR Congress

More than 1,000 high-speed rail planners, operators, and equipment manufacturers are expected to gather in Philadelphia July 10-13 for UIC HIGHSPEED 2012, a World Congress sponsored by the Paris-based International Union of Railways, and the concurrent UIC HIGHSPEED 2012 International Trade Exhibition.

Bombardier, Bratislava conduct FLEXITY tests

Bombardier Transportation said Wednesday it and transport authority Dopravny podnik Bratislava (DPB) have begun test operations of a Bombardier’s FLEXITY tram in Bratislava, Slovakia. Testing in the Slovakian capital city will continue through June 20.
