Bohr Electronics Secures Contract With VRE for Magnetic Transfer Switches

Bohr Electronics has been awarded a contract by Virginia Railway Express (VRE) to supply 80 magnetic transfer switches, which will support ongoing maintenance of VRE’s locomotive fleet at its Crossroads Maintenance Storage Facility in Fredericksburg, Va.

Long Bridge Construction Kicks Off

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Oct. 15 for the $2.3 billion Long Bridge Project, which is slated to boost passenger rail capacity over the Potomac River between Arlington, Va., and Washington, D.C.,

The 2.4-mile DC Streetcar, which launched its first phase in 2015 and second phase in 2016, runs free, daily trips along the H Street NE Corridor and Benning Road from Union Station to Oklahoma Avenue. Amtrak Launches Program to Improve Washington Union Station Operations

Amtrak on July 29 announced that it is launching a program to “revitalize and improve” operations of Washington Union Station, one of the nation’s most historic and busiest multimodal hubs.
