SunTrain Announces Grant Collaboration for Colo. WATT Pilot Project

SunTrain, a San Francisco, Calif.-based provider and developer of renewable energy storage and distribution, on Dec. 4 announced a “first-in-the-nation” proposal for the Wireless Alternative by Train Transport (WATT) pilot project, which aims to “utilize advanced battery storage on conventional freight railcars, bringing more renewable energy from locations where it is generated to increase the capacity of Colorado’s transmission system.”

Also, CSX’s Sales and Marketing team earns the 2024 Excellence in Partnership Award from Saint Paul Commodities; Union Pacific (UP) is recognized for “digital engineering excellence” and celebrates Omaha Magazine’s cover story on President Beth Whited; and Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) marks its Holiday Train’s first two weeks on the rails.

CSX has the 82nd running of its Santa Train through Appalachia. Also, Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) celebrates the grand opening of Fastfrate Group’s new facility in Rosser, Manitoba; and Union Pacific’s (UP) Response Management Communication Center (RMCC) and Police Department achieve the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) certification for the tenth consecutive year.
