TexAmericas Center Commissions Two Locomotives

TexAmericas Center, one of the largest mixed-use industrial parks in the U.S., announced Nov. 19 that it has commissioned two locomotives that “expand on‑site switching, transload, and yard capabilities across its campus. The added power increases capacity and elevates safety for crews.”

Ready for Development: TexAmericas Center’s UP-Served Site (Updated)

TexAmericas Center (TAC) on Nov. 28 reported that its 250-acre Union Pacific (UP)-served industrial park in Hooks, Tex., is “shovel-ready.” On Jan. 16, TAC received a $1.5 million portion of $15.4 million in grant funding for infrastructure projects in military communities from the Texas Military Preparedness Commission’s (TMPC) Defense Economic Adjustment Assistance Grant (DEAAG) program.

New Boston, Tex.-based TexAmericas Center (TAC) has acquired Lone Star Railcar Storage Company’s contracts and assets. In addition, Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Investors (FTAI) has partnered with Clean Planet Energy to develop waste plastic recycling and “circular-fuel production” facilities across North America.
