The New Jersey Governor’s proposed budget includes a state corporate transit fee to help financially strapped New Jersey Transit (NJT). Chicago’s Metra selects STV to support its procurement of new battery-electric, single-level trainsets. Also, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) expands its TAP-to-Exit program; and VIA Rail Canada (VIA Rail) boosts ticket sales with a new partnership program.

Alstom donates funds to the American Red Cross to support wildfire response and recovery efforts in California. Also, STV’s Liz Justison is named to the American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA) Board of Directors; and HNTB wins the 2025 American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Florida Grand Conceptor Award for its work on the Brightline Florida East-West Connector project.

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) advances pilot automatic detection system on right-of-way (ROW). Also, NJ Transit is named one of America’s best large employers by Forbes; navigation app Waymap is now live across the entire Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s (WMATA) transit system; and the MTA Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) invests $150 million to connect Ronkonkoma Station with the proposed North Terminal at MacArthur Airport.
