STV, Inc. Senior Vice President Brian J. Flaherty died April 15 following an illness. He was 77.

Bonamusa named STV VP

STV, Inc. has promoted Tertulien “Tony” Augustin, P.E., to Vice President.

Ponzio Promoted to STV SVP

John Ponzio has been promoted to Senior Vice President of STV’s National Systems Group.

STV elevates Boyle to EVP

Martin Boyle, a member of STV’s Transportation & Infrastructure (T&I) Division, has been appointed to Executive Vice President of T&I, where he will oversee the division’s operations. He is succeeding William Matts, P.E., who is retiring at the end of the year after a 40-year career with STV.

Knapp joins STV

Veteran civil engineer William Knapp, P.E., has joined STV as Vice President and Design-Build Director, Western Region. He will be based in STV’s Oakland, Calif. office and manage design-build efforts in the western half of the U.S. for the firm’s Transportation & Infrastructure Division.

STV launches a “boring” journey

STV, engineer of record and principal design firm for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) Purple Line Project, will shortly begin to witness two state-of-the-art tunnel boring machines (TBMs) at work on the project’s 2.6-mile-long Section 2 extension.

STV JV continues Cross Harbor study

The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (PANYNJ) has contracted with Cross Harbor Partners, an STV/AKRF Inc. joint venture, to prepare a Tier II Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) study for the Cross Harbor Freight Program, described as “a transformative goods movement product that strives to induce a modal shift away from trucks to reduce vehicle-miles traveled (VMT) and the attendant wear and tear on our region’s roadways and bridges.”
