Transit Briefs: TransLink, MTA Metro-North, SEPTA

Metro-Vancouver’s TransLink is offering fare card rebates to riders who scrap their older fossil fuel-powered cars and trucks. In addition, MTA Metro-North Railroad on Oct. 4 celebrated the completion of its ADA-compliant Port Jervis Station in New York; and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) Board has approved measures to add more social outreach workers.

Transit Briefs: SEPTA, SFMTA, WMATA

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is proposing a new name for its rapid transit and trolley lines, as well as new letters and colors to represent them. In addition, late night subway service will return in October for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA); and Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) on Sept. 7 reopened four Green and Yellow line stations following summer reconstruction work.

SEPTA Board Approves FY22 Budget

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) Board has signed off on the proposed $1.52 billion operating budget and $618.85 million capital budget for FY 2022, which starts July 1.
