PHMSA: $32MM to Support First Responders, Improve Hazmat Safety

The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) on Aug. 12 reported that it is awarding more than $32 million in Fiscal Year 2024 grants to support state and local hazardous materials (hazmat) programs nationwide.

Safety Culture Assessments Show Areas of Strength, Opportunities

The Short Line Safety Institute (SLSI) and the Federal Railroad Administration’s (FRA) Office of Research, Development & Technology have shared the results of an evaluation of all Safety Culture Assessments completed on short line railroads in 2023. Five areas of strength across the railroads and five areas of opportunity were identified.

OmniTRAX Teams With SLSI for Emergency Response Training
