Railway Age magazine has named Gardendale Railroad, Inc. the 2013 Short Line Railroad of the Year, and Montana Rail Link its 2013 Regional Railroad of the Year. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind., has conferred an honorary Doctor of Engineering degree upon Thomas G. Hoback, founder, president, and CEO of The Indiana Rail Road Co. Hoback receive the degree Saturday during the school’s 134th commencement ceremony.
