The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) in Florida selects STV for a project to strengthen vessel-to-rail connectivity. Also, North Carolina’s Port of Wilmington is wrapping up work on its intermodal rail yard expansion.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) on Dec. 19 announced that it is investing $10.2 million as part of 50-50 matching grant funding for rail infrastructure projects along 10 short line railroads and at the North Carolina Ports.
Wellesley, Mass.-based Enstructure will take over Port of Wilmington, Del., operations from Gulftainer, according to a Delaware Public Media report.
Year-to-date, Port Houston in Texas has recorded 2,225,500 TEUs (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units), a 16% boost over 2020. In addition, Delaware’s Port of Wilmington has completed the first phase of an electrification project.
