The Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) Program partners are bolstering STEM education in the Chicago, Ill., area with donations totaling $400,000. Also, Stockton (Calif.) Terminal and Eastern Railroad, a managed affiliate of OmniTRAX, presented a community donation to the Waterloo-Morada Fire District in honor of Pacific Northwest Oil.

Lineage Logistics, JBS USA and OmniTRAX have teamed on a new cold-storage facility project in Windsor, Colo. OmniTRAX will be designing, building and operating “a custom intermodal rail solution” for the facility, which is slated to open in 2023. Newburgh and South Shore Railroad (NSR) has purchased an AMPS Traction GP9-based battery-electric switcher for service in Ohio, parent company OmniTRAX reported on March 2.
