San Diego MTS Sets FY22 Capex at $125MM

The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) Board has approved a $125 million capital improvement program for FY 2022, which includes $28.5 million for new SD100 light rail vehicles.

The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) promoted Collie Greenwood to Deputy General Manager, Operations. In addition, California’s San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) named Al Stiehler Director of Transit Security and Passenger Safety, succeeding Manny Guaderrama, who retired in August 2020.

MTS approves $108 million capital improvement program

In another step toward keeping San Diego’s transit system in a state of good repair, the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) Board of Directors on March 17, 2016 unanimously approved $108 million for the FY 2017 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).

MTS hires Manager of Operations for Transit Enforcement

The Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) announced Jan. 28, 2016 that former San Diego County Sheriff’s commander Michael Barletta has been hired to oversee all field security and enforcement operations to help ensure safe travel for nearly 97 million passengers annually. He will supervise 200 transit officers.
