Safety, service, and schedule, “some of the most challenging issues currently facing businesses that ship goods via railroad,” will be the focus at the Jan. 14-15, 2015 Winter Meeting of the Midwest Association of Rail Shippers (MARS), which will feature key executives from CSX. CN, the Surface Transportation Board, and the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, among other top rail industry professionals.

“Rail Shipping 2015: Meeting the Challenges of High Demand” will be the theme for the 244th meeting of the Midwest Association of Rail Shippers (MARS), Jan. 14–15, 2015 in Oak Brook, Ill.

“Rail Shipping—Powering America’s Economy” will be the theme of the Midwest Association of Rail Shippers (MARS) 2014 Winter Meeting, to be held January 15-16 at the Oak Brook Hills Resort-Chicago in Oak Brook, Ill.

The energy and housing markets will be two areas of focus at the upcoming MARS (Midwest Association of Rail Shippers) Annual Summer Meeting July 8-9 at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisc. The meeting theme is “Riding the Rails to Economic Recovery,” and will include sessions on housing, retail, energy, and short line railroads, as well as an economic outlook and legislative analysis.
