O’Leary named Alaska Railroad CEO

The Alaska Railroad Board of Directors has named Bill O’Leary President and CEO of the Alaska Railroad, succeeding Chris Aadnesen. O’Leary will start in his new position this Friday, Nov. 1, 2013.

BART operations continue through weekend

BART trains will continue to operate through most of the weekend of Oct. 12-13, 2013, as union representatativs and management agreed to extend contract talks late Thursday, Oct. 10, in an effort to reach contract agreement.

INRD dedicates new intermodal terminal

Indiana Rail Road Company (INRD) President and Chief Executive Officer Tom Hoback and Indiana Governor Mike Pence opened the new Senate Avenue Intermodal Terminal in Indianapolis on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013. The facility represents a multi-million-dollar investment by INRD and CN built to serve Indiana shippers moving goods to and from Asia.

RSI names three to Board

Railway Supply Institute President Tom Simpson announced Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, the election of three new members of the board of directors. The three were elected during Railway Interchange 2013 in Indianapolis, Ind., held earlier in the week.
