AXION receives order for rail transit switch ties

AXION International Holdings, Inc. (AXIH), a supplier of recycled-plastic and plastic-composite ECOTRAX® ties and STRUXURE® building products, and a vertically integrated re-processor and supplier of recycled plastic, has received an order worth approximately $377,000 from a West Coast rail transit system for switch ties to upgrade 26 wood-tie turnouts. The customer was not disclosed.

London Trackwork lands Ottawa contract

The Rideau Transit Group consortium, designers and builders of the OC Transpo Confederation Line (Ottawa Light Rail Transit Project), has awarded a contract to London Trackwork Inc. for the supply of special trackwork. Terms of the contract, which will take 1.5 years to complete, were not disclosed.

New Mexico Border Authority awards feasibility study to HNTB

The New Mexico Border Authority has selected HNTB Corp. perform a comprehensive study determining the feasibility of a new rail bypass and international rail border crossing near the Santa Teresa, N.Mex., Port of Entry into Mexico. The results of this initial work, if deemed feasible, will guide the state of New Mexico and its associates in developing the new bypass and border crossing.

Axion lands another Russian tie order

Axion International Holdings, Inc. said Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, it has “received a purchase order for ECOTRAX® rail ties to be shipped and installed in Russia’s [rail] system. This is the company’s fourth order from Russia, signifying strong international demand.”

Railway Interchange 2015 exhibit space available
