New line through San Gabriel trench

The first train service rolled through the San Gabriel trench earlier this week, nearing completion of a five-year project that sought to mitigate the impact of rail line traffic on the community.

UP sees safer rail crossings in FH2017

Vehicle-train collisions at Union Pacific railroad crossings declined by five percent in the first half of 2017, compared to last year, according to Class 1. Union Pacific attributes this decline to its rail safety programs geared towards improved public safety.

Hunter Harrison, what exactly is going on at CSX? I’m hearing lots of voices. They’ve become loud and frequent and as such are nearly impossible to ignore. They’re the voices of railroaders, from the executive to the train and engine service level. They’re former and present CSX employees. They’re people who have worked for you at other railroads. And they’re all saying basically the same thing: That the changes you are making at CSX aren’t the right thing to do, or aren’t working.
