Brightline is bringing BrightBikes to West Palm Beach, Fla. In addition, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is providing commuter railcar-seat availability data online; OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, is offering “unlimited no-charge transit” in December; riders of metro Vancouver’s TransLink will be able to pay with Interac Debit by year-end 2022; and Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) will maintain reduced rail service levels through the end of 2021.

Scorey named Keolis North America President, CEO

Keolis Commuter Services Chief Executive Officer and General Manager David Scorey on July 8 was promoted to President and CEO of Keolis North America and named to the Keolis Group’s Management Committee. He replaces Interim CEO Clement Michel, appointed Keolis Group Director of Human Resources and Transformation on May 3.

Keolis Commuter Services, operator of Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) commuter rail, has selected Comply365 to digitize materials for operations personnel; and Duos Technologies has partnered with Dell to help streamline its automated railcar inspection system.

MBTA Extends Commuter Rail Contract With Keolis

The MBTA’s Fiscal and Management Control Board approved of a four-year extension—through June 30, 2026—of the Commuter Rail Operating contract between the MBTA and Keolis Commuter Services, LLC.

Keolis Receives APTA Nod for MBTA Sustainability Work
