Updated FRA Hours-of-Service Waiver Adds ASLRRA Members

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) has issued an updated hours-of-service waiver decision letter in response to the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association’s (ASLRRA) request to include three additional members.

USDOT: $607MM Approved for Infrastructure Projects

The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) on May 15 reported approving another 76 infrastructure grants totaling more than $607 million. CRISI (Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements) and RCE (Railroad Crossing Elimination) grants to be administered by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) will support 13 projects totaling nearly $95 million.

USDOT Approves $3.2B for 180 Infrastructure Grants

The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) on May 6 reported signing off on 180 infrastructure grants, totaling more than $3.2 billion. Grants to be administered by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) will support 24 projects for freight and passenger rail/transit, valued at a total of $282.4 million.
