First Transit announced on July 20th that it signed its first rail contract in North America to provide operations and maintenance services for the Denton County Transportation Authority’s (DCTA) A-train commuter rail line in Texas. First Transit is a division of FirstGroup, one of the rail operators in the United Kingdom.
CTC, Inc. (CTC), a provider of signaling, communications crossing warning systems, products and services to the rail industry, announced Oct. 8, 2015 that the company has been tapped by Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) to implement signal systems enhancements to the A-train, its 21-mile commuter rail line.
Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) has named Maureen McCole as Vice President, Commuter Rail/Railroad Management; Garrome “Jerry” Franklin as Vice President and Chief Safety Officer; and David Schulze as Vice President, Policy and Strategy.
