CSX: Paid Sick Leave for SMART-MD

CSX announced April 7 that it has reached an agreement with the Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers-Mechanical Department (SMART-MD) to provide paid sick leave benefits.

Commerce Park II – Rail Site Receives Platinum ‘CSX Select Site’ Designation

The Commerce Park II – Rail Site, a 150-acre property adjacent to the CSX mainline and part of a larger planned 1,000-plus acre industrial park in southwest Hopkinsville, Ky., has been designated a Platinum CSX Select Site, the Class I reported March 30.

CSX Introduces GPS Shipment Tracking

CSX is taking the “rail customer experience to the next level” by installing GPS tags on its railcars and containers to provide up-to-the-minute location information anywhere on its 20,000-mile network, the Class I announced March 28 via a Twitter post.

CSX on March 22 reported reaching an agreement with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) for paid sick leave.
