CSX updates third-quarter guidance

CSX Corporation Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Frank Lonegro updated investors and analysts on Sept. 7, 2016 at the Cowen and Company 9th Annual Global Transportation Conference in Boston about the company’s third-quarter expectations, full-year guidance and long-term strategy “for managing a changing business profile.”

CSX tops for IT employment

For the fourth consecutive year, CSX was named one of IDG Computerworld’s Best Places to Work in IT, ranking number 41 among large organizations.

CSX announces senior leadership team changes

CSX Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Michael J. Ward announced a number of senior management changes on May 20, 2016, including the retirement July 1 of Lisa Mancini, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, following nearly 13 years at CSX Corp.

CSX lands on Best Corporate Citizens List for fourth time

CSX on April 22, 2016 announced that it has been recognized as one of Corporate Responsibility Magazine’s Best Corporate Citizens for 2016 “reflecting [the railroad’s] ongoing commitment to being a good neighbor in the communities it served.” CSX, which has now made four appearances on the list, ranked 47 out of 100, and was the only railroad included in the ranking.

CSX replies in STB investigation of on-time performance

In a letter to the Surface Transportation Board filed April 13, 2016, CSX contends that “giving Amtrak trains absolute priority over the old RF&P (Washington-Richmond) upends commuter train operations, drastically limits the number of available slots for freight trains, and likely results in congestion on tracks and in yards that would ripple through the network,” says Frank N. Wilner, Contibuting Editor of Railway Age.
