CP Invests in HQ Solar Energy

Canadian Pacific (CP) has begun work to install a solar energy farm at its corporate headquarters in Calgary. The installation “is expected to generate more power than consumed annually at CP’s main headquarters building by early 2021.”

Canadian Pacific (CP) officially launched its international intermodal service through the Port of Saint John, N.B. the morning of Aug. 11. The inaugural train carried containers from the Hapag-Lloyd vessel Detroit Express bound for intermodal terminals on the CP network in Canada and the U.S.

CP Sets Crop Year Grain Record

Canadian Pacific hauled more Canadian grain and grain products in the 2019-2020 crop production year than any in its 139-year history. In total, CP moved 29.52 million metric tonnes (MMT) this crop year, exceeding last year’s record of 26.77 MMT by 2.75 MMT, or 10%.

Canadian Pacific (CP) has released its first public statement on climate change, which acknowledges the effects of rising global temperatures and lays out CP’s commitment to mitigate the impacts as well as supports the goals of the Paris Agreement and the Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change, which seek to limit global temperature rise to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels.

CP Donates $1MM Toward “Positive Change”

In response to ongoing social unrest and social injustice across the United States, Canadian Pacific (CP) is donating $1 million to three organizations to support the people of Minneapolis, home to the headquarters of CP’s U.S. operations, as well as support meaningful positive change nationally.
