NJ House rep seeks more rail oversight

Rep. Robert E. Andrews (D-N.J.) has introduced a bill calling for independent oversight of railroads and particularly railroad infrastructure, arguing that U.S. freight railroads aren’t pursuing adequate safety measures.

NTSB issues first report on NJ bridge incident

The National Transportation Safety Board on Monday released its preliminary report on the Paulsboro, N.J. train derailment Nov. 30, but the initial release does not identify the cause of the accident.
