Labor Briefs: CN/IBEW, CPKC/Unifor, CSO/SMART

CN and Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) reach tentative collective agreements with the International Brotherhood of Electric Workers (IBEW) and Unifor, respectively, averting strikes. Also, Connecticut Southern Railroad (CSO), a Genesee & Wyoming subsidiary, joins the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers– Transportation Division (SMART-TD).

Genesee & Wyoming (G&W) on Nov. 11 shared a video that showcases its new locomotive design scheme honoring veterans and service members, and three of the many veterans who work for the company, which owns or leases more than 100 freight railroads throughout North America.
