Mike Scanlon announces retirement

After nearly 50 years in public transportation, including 15 years as General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of the San Mateo County Transit District, Michael J. Scanlon on August 28, 2014 announced his retirement.

Harris County MTA eyes UP right-of-way

Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, Tex, (Houston’s METRO) has filed a motion with the Surface Transportation Board to formally acquire nearly 58 miles of right-of-way from Union Pacific Railroad .
