Caltrain grade separation work continues

Caltrain on Wednesday said the San Bruno Grade Separation Project, designed to improve safety at three rail crossings in downtown San Bruno, Calif., is nearing the halfway mark, with supports and bridges for the $147 million project now visible.

Wabtec to repower Metrolinx locomotives

Wabtec Corp. Tuesday said its MotivePower subsidiary has signed a $45 million contract with regional transportation authority Metrolinx to repower 11 locomotives with new engines and propulsion systems that meet significantly higher environmental standards. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2014, Wabtec said.

Wayside horns to adorn NCTD Del Mar crossing

Pittsburgh PAT reaches tentative labor deal

Only two bids seen for MBTA rail contract

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) this year has sought bidders to operate its regional rail network, but according to the Boston Globe MBTA has received only two actual offers to bid, despite initial interest from 25 separate companies.
