CN: ‘Primed for the Rebound’

CN issued its third-quarter 2023 earnings after Wall Street’s closing bell on Oct. 24, reporting declines in revenues and operating income. The results were impacted by “continued weakness in consumer demand, external disruptions and unfavorable fuel surcharge lag,” the Canadian Class I said. However, the railroad is “primed for the rebound,” according to President and CEO Tracy Robinson.

“All we can commit right now without those rules is that we’ll get people where they want to go—eventually,” said VIA Rail President and CEO Mario Péloquin.

CN, AltaGas Renew Long-Term Transportation Agreement
