Ten Canadian communities receive grants totaling $500,000 from the CN EcoConnexions – From the Ground Up program. Meanwhile, CN, Union Pacific (UP), and Grupo México Transportes earn spots in S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook 2025. Also, BNSF wheel plant employees in Nebraska mark a safety milestone.
Some of the world’s largest retailers, manufacturers, and energy companies were among 40 CN customers and supply chain partners honored for superior sustainability practices.
CN announced Sept. 26 that 50 communities across Canada will be awarded grants of $25,000 to fund local tree planting projects in honor of the nation’s 150th anniversary. Since 2011, CN-sponsored programs have accounted for more than 1.2 million tree plantings.
