OmniTRAX on April 1 announced that it is completing infrastructure investments to resume Central Texas rail operations in April. Service to a San Saba, Texas, rock quarry this month marks the line’s official return to active status.

A managed affiliate of OmniTRAX, Inc. is purchasing the Heart of Texas Railroad (HTR) from private local investors. The transaction is subject to Surface Transportation Board approval. Terms were not disclosed.
