CP donates $50,000 to Harvey relief

Canadian Pacific is donating US$50,000 to the American Red Cross to help with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts and will match all employee contributions.

CP: Bring on the grain

Canadian Pacific says it is ready to provide “best-in-class service” to grain shippers for Canada’s 2017-2018 crop year through “collaboration, communication and coordination.” The objective is “maximizing efficiency at the origin elevator and enhancing capabilities at the export terminal, all driving velocity in the rail portion of the complex grain supply chain.”

 

CP Canada 150 special en-route to Ottawa

Canadian Pacific Railway played an important role in shaping Canada into the nation it is today, a nation celebrating its 150th anniversary. CP’s Canada 150 special, a rolling celebration of Canadian history and culture, will wind up a three-week tour on Aug. 20 in Ottawa, the country’s capital city.

GWR expands grain hopper fleet

Great Western Railway Ltd., Saskatchewan, has acquired 150 grain hopper railcars from the Government of Saskatchewan, following a competitive bidding process. This is GWR’s first purchase of its kind since the railway’s inception, when it was formed from lines purchased from Canadian Pacific in 2000.
