Industrial Development Briefs: 5V/UP, Frontier Lithium/CPKC

5V, a newly formed partnership between Five Rivers Cattle Feeding, LLC and Viserion Grain, LLC, will develop a new Union Pacific (UP)-served facility in Dalhart, Tex. Also, Frontier Lithium has closed on the acquisition of a Thunder Bay, Ontario-based industrial site, with access to Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) service.

CPKC Mechanical Employees Ratify New Agreement

Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) on Feb. 24 reported that a new four-year collective agreement has been ratified by Unifor, which represents approximately 1,200 mechanics, laborers, diesel service attendants, and mechanical support staff across the Class I railroad’s network in Canada.

Cold Storage Coming to Port Saint John

Americold Realty Trust (Americold) will invest up to C$80 million to develop its first Import-Export Hub in Canada at Port Saint John. The project is said to “bring together Americold warehouse solutions
