CHSRA, Grassland Water District Reach Agreement

The California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) on Aug. 30 announced that it has reached an agreement with the Grassland Water District, Grassland Resource Conservation District, and Grassland Fund (Grassland) that releases Grassland’s potential California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) claims regarding CHSRA’s adoption of environmental review documents for the San Jose to Merced portion of the high-speed rail project.

CHSRA Taps HNTB’s Choudri as Next CEO

The California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) on Aug. 8 announced that its Board of Directors has tapped Ian Choudri as the organization’s next CEO following a closed session in Sacramento, Calif. Choudri will succeed Brian Kelley, who announced his retirement this past January.

CHSRA, CalSTA Renew Environmental Review Agreement With FRA

The California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) and the California State Transportation Agency (CalSTA) on July 23 reported renewing an agreement with the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) to continue assuming the federal agency’s environmental review responsibilities under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
