Teamsters, UP Ratify Contract

Approximately 6,000 locomotive engineers at Union Pacific (UP), represented by the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) of the Teamsters Rail Conference, have voted “overwhelmingly” to ratify a new five-year contract.

For VHB, New Piedmont Atlantic Region, Regional Leadership

Civil engineering, consulting, and design firm VHB (Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc.) has created a fifth region—the Piedmont Atlantic Region—and appointed Fabricio Ponce and Joe Wanat as Piedmont Atlantic Regional Manager and Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager, respectively, covering the Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina markets, effective January 2026.
