Transit Briefs: Brightline, SunRail, Calgary Airport Rail Connection, Metrolinx

Brightline partners with Porter Airlines to offer travelers a special promotion. Also, Central Florida municipalities are now paying for SunRail operations; Calgary releases its preferred route for the proposed Calgary Airport Rail Connection; and Premier Doug Ford directs Metrolinx to study expanding GO Transit service along the Kitchner and Milton lines by diverting freight rail lines.

Kentucky Seeks Input on Statewide Rail Plan

Savage Sites Utah CBR Transload Terminal

Global supply chain infrastructure provider Savage is developing a new crude-by-rail (CBR) transload terminal to connect supply chains for transporting Uinta Basin crude oil from wellheads to refinery markets across North America.

The 11-mile initial operating segment of Honolulu’s planned 20-mile, 21-station autonomous (driverless) Skyline, an urban rail transit GoA4 (Grade of Automation) system, marked one year of revenue service on June 30, 2024.
