BNSF: $2.85B to Maintain Core Network and Related Assets

BNSF Railway (BNSF) on Jan. 19 announced its $3.96 billion 2023 capital plan, of which $2.85 billion will be devoted to maintaining the Class I’s core network and related assets.

Launched by all seven Class I railroads and Railinc in 2014, the AskRail app for first responders now includes railroad milepost and highway/rail grade crossing location information.

Railinc on Jan. 18 reported that it has added railroad milepost and highway/rail grade crossing location information to AskRail®, the rail industry emergency response information app.

“We are excited to announce this terminal development for USDCF,” Senior Vice President Bob Copher said on Jan. 17. The National City, Calif.-based biofuels terminal is slated to be served by BNSF.

Houston, Tex.-based USD Clean Fuels (USDCF) on Jan. 17 reported its plan to build a new biofuels terminal in National City, Calif., to be served by BNSF and deliver fuels to the area from the Midwest and U.S. Gulf Coast.
