Port of Los Angeles Adopts $2B FY23/24 Budget

The Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners on June 7 approved a $2 billion Fiscal Year (FY) 2023/24 annual budget for the Port of Los Angeles, calling for “increased investment in Port operational and public-access infrastructure, as well as support for a range of industry leading sustainability and decarbonization initiatives.”

IANA Honoring Farmer for Intermodal Achievement

The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) will present BNSF President and CEO Katie Farmer with its 2023 Silver Kingpin Award at the Intermodal EXPO, to be held Sept. 11-13 in Long Beach, Calif.

UP is introducing service between the Barbours Cut Container Terminal at Port Houston and five metropolitan areas on its rail network. “Ocean carriers and Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCO) will have more options to move their containers inland to Union Pacific-served markets,” according to the Class I railroad.
