For third-quarter 2024, BNSF reported that total revenue rose 1% and net earnings were up 13% over the prior-year period, with volumes coming in 8% higher than the same period last year.
Freight tracking and matching software provider Trucker Tools announced Aug. 14 that it is partnering with BNSF Logistics for real-time freight tracking, digital freight matching and automated booking across its North American operations.

Construction is under way on BNSF’s new Logistics Center Hudson, located approximately 25 miles north of Denver International Airport and 30 miles northeast of downtown Denver, and “designed to help customers reach Denver and its surrounding markets via rail-served sites in an easy fashion.” BNSF announced the new center concurrently with a rebranding of its logistics subsidiary, BNSF Logistics LLC.
BNSF Logistics has selected Blume Global as its digital supply chain platform, providing solutions to assist BNSF in optimizing the intermodal transport services it offers to customers worldwide.
BNSF Logistics has introduced a new 20-axle railcar, the TEXX 900, which joins its specialized fleet to handle heavy-haul and over-dimensional loads.
