Balfour Beatty appoints Mark Johnnie to COO and Kelly Phariss to Vice President of West operations. Also, CSX Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Diana Sorfleet has been named to Women We Admire’s Top 50 Women Leaders of Jacksonville for 2023.

A new report from the Amtrak Office of Inspector General finds that “America’s Railroad” lacks a centralized and automated repository for contracts, which “poses legal and financial risks.” Also, LINXS Constructors has topped out the sixth and final station with structural steel for Los Angeles International Airport’s (LAX) 2.25-mile Automated People Mover (APM) project.

Balfour Beatty Lands VTA Catenary Project

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) has awarded Balfour Beatty a $16 million contract for its Overhead Contact System (OCS) Rehabilitation Phase 3 project. Balfour Beatty recently completed Phase 2 of this project.
