I’m truly looking forward to Railway Interchange 2015 in Minneapolis next month. The first one was held here four years ago and was a huge success. This one promises to be even bigger and better and is by far, the most significant industry event of the year.
I have been honored to serve as president of the International Association of Railway Operating Officers (IAROO) throughout the past year and I am pleased to welcome you to this year’s Railway Interchange event in Minneapolis.
Several years ago, when the leaders of the top U.S. railway associations began planning the first Railway Interchange as a biennial event combining product and service exhibitions with the industry’s leading technical conferences, they envisioned a top-notch event with international attendees and exhibitors.

The American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) is inviting “all interested parties to submit Papers on subjects of interest to the railway engineering community to be considered for publication and/or presentation at the AREMA 2014 Annual Conference & Exposition in Chicago,” but the deadline is Friday, Dec. 13, 2013.
