Alstom, Bombardier tout RATP/STIF order

Bombardier Transportation on Friday said as part of the Alstom-Bombardier consortium, it will supply 210 double-deck commuter train cars for line A of the RER, the Greater Paris regional rail network. Separately, Alstom on Friday identified the order as “70 additional duplex trainsets, known as MI09s.”

Alstom lands Wuppertal signaling contract

Alstom Thursday said it has signed a signaling system contract worth 17 million euros ($21.4 million) with WSW mobil GmbH to install an ERTMS1-based train command and control system on the 13.3-kilometer (8.2-mile) Wuppertaler Schwebebahn line. The Schwebebahn, or monorail, began service in 1901.

Europorte, Alstom enter rail freight partnership

Europorte, the rail freight subsidiary of the Eurotunnel Group, and Alstom on Thursday announced they have signed a partnership agreement covering the maintenance of 17 Alstom manufactured Prima locomotives now operated by Europorte.

Alstom breaks ground for Quebec plant
