Amtrak Awards Connecticut River Bridge Contract

Amtrak on June 28 reported awarding the O&G/Tutor Perini joint venture a construction contract to replace the existing Connecticut River Bridge, which opened in 1907 and links Old Saybrook and Old Lyme,

In August 2021, the STB Office of Environmental Analysis issued a Final EIS for the project, identifying the 88-mile Whitmore Park Alternative as the environmentally preferred route for the Uinta Basin Railway, one of three analyzed. It would extend from two terminus points in northeastern Utah’s Uinta Basin near Myton and Leland Bench to a connection with the existing Union Pacific Provo Subdivision near Kyune (see map above).

LA Metro Selects AECOM-Led JV to Deliver VTC Planning and Environmental Study

AECOM on Jan. 4 announced that LA Metro has awarded the Vermont Transit Corridor (VTC) Planning and Environmental Study to the Vermont Corridor Partners (VCP), an AECOM-led joint venture (JV) with minority-owned small businesses Terry A. Hayes Associates Inc. (TAHA) and RAW International, Inc. (RAW).
