This position reports directly to the General Manager of Train Operations for the Grand Canyon Railway in Williams, AZ and is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Railway’s passenger train and work train operations.
Candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of applicable rules and regulations regarding shortline passenger railroad operations to ensure complete compliance in all regulatory areas of GCR train operations and track maintenance, including but not limited to FRA requirements. Candidate for this position must be a certified locomotive engineer and conductor. Three years of prior railroad experience required. Must have knowledge of functions associated with the train operation and mechanical departments. Candidates also must have previous experience in a railroad supervisory position.
