Thermo King announces new reefer rail units
Written by William C. Vantuono, Editor-in-ChiefThermo King said late Monday it is launching two new refrigerated rail units in time for the Intermodal Association of North America’s Intermodal Expo, Nov.14-16, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The company says its SB-210RR+ will be on display at the Expo at the Thermo King booth (#911); it also is introducing the SB-310RR+. The company’s website notes both models “incorporate the latest fuel-saving technologies while delivering the BTU performance the market demands.”
The units, powered by TK486V engines, exceed “EPA Interim Tier 4 requirements for NOx and particulate matter emissions,” the company says.
