Supervising Engineer-Track, Parsons Brinckerhoff

Parsons Brinckerhoff has an immediate need for a Supervising Engineer - Track in the Seattle office to lead a variety of rail and transit engineering projects and tasks on Light Rail, Heavy Rail, Commuter Rail, and High Speed Rail Projects.

This individual will become a member of Parsons Brinckerhoff’s growing rail and transit group and will be responsible for:
·     Track design for rail transit systems, including both ballasted and direct fixation tracks, mainline and siding tracks, special track work, for systems powered by both AC and DC traction power supply systems.

  • Effectively supervising and coordinating the activities of resources, i.e. PB track staff, other disciplines, sub consultants.
  • Managing mid-size projects and meeting scope, schedule and budget requirements.

·         Developing and maintaining strong client relationships

·         Pursuit planning and contributions

·     Work location would include both home office and short term travel to support other projects.
  
Experience Required

·     Minimum 8 years experience in track design
·     Experience in developing design drawings and specifications for track work elements.
·     Experience in transit system design management and/or project management.
·     Competence in both Micro Station and AutoCAD CADD software.
·     Strong communications skills required.

Education Required

·     BS from an accredited university.
·     Registered Professional Engineer; WA and OR preferred.
·     Ability to work in this country immediately required.
