St. James Rail Terminal ready for business

Vantuono, Editor-in-ChiefHouston-based U.S. Development Group will celebrate the opening of its St. James Rail Terminal, in the St. James, La., crude/condensate logistics hub, on Oct. 21. The terminal, which gives the St. James crude market a rail connection, is the first in a planned nationwide network of rail terminals for crude oil.
Served by Union Pacific, the terminal has a fully automated 26-spot rail track for offloading. The facility has an initial capacity of 65,000 barrels a day and is connected via pipeline to an adjacent crude/condensate storage terminal operated by Plains All American Pipeline, L.P.
