The position is responsible for supervising the construction, repair, preventative maintenance and required FRA testing of all signal equipment in assigned territory. The signal supervisor will review and manage FRA test and inspection reports and provide for the personal safety of team.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma and working knowledge of electronics
· Associates degree in Electronics preferred
· 3-5 years as a Signal Supervisor
· Electronics courses at post secondary school, formal signal training, and hands on signal experience
· Demonstrated ability to assist field technical support as needed
· Demonstrated knowledge of FRA signal compliance
· Extensive knowledge of all signal equipment

JOB DUTIES:
· Maintain all signal equipment on assigned territory and supervise maintenance of any needed repairs, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
· Procure and maintain materials inventory from central location for maintainers, inspectors and signal gangs
· Coordinate signal activity with other departments (e.g., Maintenance of Way and Transportation)
· Maintain FRA mandated records related to signals
· Perform mandated safety compliance audits
· Provide indirect leadership, mentoring, and quality review to direct reports
· Work with FRA Inspectors, State DOT inspectors, connecting railroads and/or signal suppliers when necessary
· Provides necessary safety training to crew
· Assist in implementing departmental and corporate safety goals
