Written by Nebraska Digital, administratorSenior Project Manager Parsons Brinckerhoff is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a variety of rail and transit engineering projects and tasks. The candidate will become a member of the leadership team of Parsons Brinckerhoff’s growing rail and transit group based in Chicago, Il.
This is a good opportunity to contribute to a variety of railroad and transit projects including preliminary and final engineering, program management, feasibility studies, and construction oversight. A key area of responsibility will be coordination and oversight of intercity and high speed rail-related infrastructure design, especially for highway/rail grade crossings.
The candidate must be capable of applying diversified knowledge of standard engineering/planning and rail/transit industry-specific principles and practices. Candidate must have experience with intercity, commuter, and/or freight railroads, and be capable of making decisions on significant engineering problems and issues. Experience developing proposals is a plus.
This position will support a wide variety of projects, including those for Illinois DOT, Metra, CTA, and numerous others throughout the Central United States.
Major Duties:
· Manage rail and transit engineering projects, including planning and coordinating staff and activities for a project of significant size and complexity
· Develop and maintain strong client relationships
· Contribute to pursuits and proposals
· Manage staff as assigned
Experience/Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 7 years of related experience required. Professional engineering license required. Ability to work in this country immediately required.
