RCC Fabricators introduces the RCC Tie Master-XL™

Southampton, N.J.-based RCC Fabricators, Inc., manufacturer of the original rail tie inserting equipment, the RCC Tie Master™, has introduced the RCC Tie Master-XL™ with electrohydraulic system at Railway Interchange 2015, which is expected to increase production by up to 15%.

The latest development and enhancements include:

• Parker load sense piston pump • Parker electro hydraulic proportional control assembly • IQAN electronic MD3 display and controls • Dual joysticks • 23 HP Briggs & Stratton gasoline engine Other specifications of the RCC Tie Master-XL™ include:

• Hydraulic cylinders with counterbalance valves • Tilt head • Hydraulic tool holders (two total) • Hydraulic hose reel with two ½” x 50’ hoses and dripless quick connects • 4-wheel drive • Horn • Strobe light • Programming and commissioning Option equipment includes: • Off track set-off wheels • Anti-theft engine guard • Towing package • Kubota diesel engine (22 HP) • Disengage towing motor package

Currently, customers of RCC Fabricators’ original RCC Tie Master™ include such Class I railroads as Union Pacific (UP), BNSF and CSX, as well as Amtrak and such short line railroads as South Florida Rail, and contractors that provide this type of work for Class I’s and short lines.

RCC Fabricators says that the new machine, which can be customized, is faster than the company’s original tie inserting equipment. With the RCC Tie Master™, 100-150 ties can be installed but that number can increase by 10-15%, the company says.
