Pacer adds Chihuahua to intermodal mix

Pacer International, Inc. announced that it has extended its Mexico Direct (Intermodal/ Double Stack) service with the addition of Chihuahua to its network, utilizing Union Pacific and Ferromex connections.

pacer_logo.jpgPacer will support the new service with equipment from a fleet of more than 18,500 high-cube containers and a newly established chassis pool at the Ferromex rail ramp in Chihuahua.

“This service has been established to help customers within 150 miles of Chihuahua,” precluding the need for them to truck finished goods and production parts to/ or from the U.S.-Mexico border, said the company.Pacer provides integrated intermodal service throughout North America with its Pacer Cartage and core carrier drayage network. A bilingual staff, located in Mexico and U.S.-Mexico border offices, has been serving customers in the Mexican trade for more than 20 years.
